Hi i just passed my test and want to know what Insurance company to go with . Im 25 years old . Just got my self Saxo VTR cheap on Ebay , The issue i have is , I only want insurance for 2 months on the car as im getting better car in 2months Time as the VTR is just temp car for me to start with. This question is normally towards the young teenagers that are elligibal of driving. But if parents know the payment for your son/daughter car insurance please post. If anyone does post to my question, please post your answer with, what kind of car is it, what type of plan and how much you pay following by whether or not there has been charges on it. (i.e. speeding tickets) Basically it'll look like this: - 2001 Honda Civic (4 Door) - Every 6 Months - $1000 - No Charges I am going to go take a test for my provisional and I want to get an overview on how much insurance is going to be. What to do with car insurance if i won't be using my car for 4 years?

I'm heading off to college (by plane) and i won't be using my car and well i don't see a reason to pay car insurance on a car that's just sitting in the garage. I was wondering what i should do in this situation.i'm probably going to use it after i graduate but not anytime earlier. so would it be wise to keep the insurance, cancel it or are there some other alternatives i could possibly do?
